I dream about the horses almost every night. I wake up filled with the sense of horseflesh close by. I wonder if those two can feel my attention beaming at them all the way in Texas?
hi meg how happy you must be! i can't wait to see your horses-i was lucky enough to have grown up with them-they will never fail to capture my heart..sigh... :) enjoy your day tabby
Hey Meggie! Just like Christmas, only better! Just remember, you need a helmet, too. After being tossed on my head many times over the years I can guarantee it will become your favorite piece of equipment! (And they come in designer colors now.)
Hey Tabby, thanks! I am not surprised that you are a horsey girl at heart, given the "Nature" of your blog : )
Aunt Lainey--oh yes, a helmet is definitely on the list. They have them at Tractor Supply, though not in designer colors! I think I'll try them on at the store for size and order it online. Also, I am so amazed at the improvements to tack and equipment that have taken place over the years--it's great!
Maggie--I dunno, green? Pink? Persimmon? I'll have to think on it!
i can feel my heart skip a beat looking at those pictures. I completely understand how you must be feeling ... I long for that day myself! I was lucky enough to go out riding the other day when we visited friends in France (I don't know if you remember but last year we volunteered there and helped with making hay etc) ... it took all my strength to pull me away from the option of staying for a while and working with the new horses ...
My name is Meg Menkedick. I live with my husband on forty acres in Noble County--the very northwestern tip of southeastern Ohio. Visit our new website at www.redhawkrustic.com

Love, Aunt Lainey
Ooh, Meg... That is very exciting! And such a lovely box of goodies, too!
So, what designer color will you choose for your helmet?
